Contribution Limits and Guidelines

From each individual The Campaign for a Better Island for All may accept only $1,000.00 per candidate or $3,000 for the three candidates that comprise the Campaign for A Better Island for All slate in the upcoming 2024 election. (The same rule applied to the Primary Election. The General Election is a new election period.)

Partnerships that contribute in excess of $2,500 total over the course of the calendar year will be required to specifically identify the partner(s) responsible for the contribution(s), and the attributed amount will be counted against each partner's individual contribution limit.

Total contributions from a corporation or from an LLC may not exceed $5,000 per calendar year aggregate to all New York state and local candidates and committees.

​

LLCs that contribute any amount over the course of the calendar year will be required to specifically identify the owner(s) responsible for the contribution(s), and the attributed amount will be counted against each owner's individual contribution limit.

The Campaign may not accept any cash contributions in excess of $100.00.

​

It is strictly prohibited to reimburse another individual's or entity's contribution. All contributors must be either US citizens or permanent resident aliens (green card holders). Contributions are not deductible for federal income tax purposes.
